International Conference – Safeguarding Aviation: Responding Effectively to Conflicts

On 23 January 2025, the FSF-SE- EUROPE- CYPRUS organised an International Conference entitled “Safeguarding Aviation: Responding Effectively to Conflicts.”

The conference was addressed by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Mr Alexis Vafeades, the President of the Board of Directors, Captain Chrysanthos Chatzichrysantou, and the Executive Director, (Late) Christos Petrou.

The conference brought together distinguished officials and experts from the international aviation community, who contributed as speakers and shared their expertise and perspectives on aviation safety and the challenges arising from conflict-related disruptions.

Among the participating organisations were EUROCONTROL, CANSO, IFATCA, JAA TO, Purdue University, CERTH, SATCO, IATA, ENAC, Qatar Airways, HCAA and United ATS, highlighting the international scope and professional significance of the event.
