The FSF-SE- EUROPE- CYPRUS organised the seminar “The Impact of COVID-19 on Air Transportation: Lessons Learned and Preparing for the Future.”
The seminar brought together senior officials and professionals from the aviation and air transport sector, as well as ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions in Cyprus, including EUROCONTROL, the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), the ICAO EUR/NAT Office, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Parliament, and the Embassies of Egypt, Ireland, France, Italy, Greece, Romania, Germany and Israel.
The discussions focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on air transportation, the challenges faced by the aviation sector and the measures adopted to manage the unprecedented crisis. Particular emphasis was placed on the lessons learned, the new realities and challenges emerging after the pandemic, and the need to strengthen the sector’s preparedness and resilience for future crises.
