OBJECTIVES
- To present the possible emergency scenarios which potentially can have a negative impact on aviation and other related activities , such as tourism, natural disasters ,e.t.c.
- To highlight the necessity of having in place detailed emergency and contingency response plans for each of such scenarios.
- To stress the importance of such plans being prepared on a professional and scientific manner , their effectiveness being tested by regular exercises and all the persons involved being appropriately trained.
- To highlight the importance of such plans being coordinated and supervised effectively by an appropriate State Authority.
- Through a panel discussion, to identify gaps and weaknesses and draw conclusions on possible ways in overcoming them.
